“Northwoods Energy Saver Package”

- Cuts Monthly Operating Cost and Reduces Heat Through Center of Cover -

Sewn under the fold, a fabric pouch (over 1 in. thick x 4 in. wide) runs the full length of the cover. Hidden under the fold, it is filled with 3M Thinsulate Insulation material and a closed cell foam core.  Plus... side heat sealing cushions filled with Thinsulate, too.  We use the most dense, best quality Thinsulate (Type C) available.

What Does It Do?
Saves monthly operating costs by holding heat inside the spa and blocking the cold from entering through the center hinge/fold. Most heat is lost through the vinyl hinge/fold in the center of the cover. On 90 inch cover there is almost 90 square inches or a 9” x 10” area on your cover that is virtually without insulation.

How Much of a Difference?
- Customers say they notice the water temperature goes up 2-3 degrees with this option and greatly reduces snow melt on fold area

Heavy Duty Center Bracing Option

This option offers nearly 50% thicker steel than our standard bracing material. (.044 inches vs .024 inches)
Additional strength, resistance to bowing and breakage is obtained from a heavier and stronger 20 gauge steel.  

All of our foam cores are fully reinforced down the center(thickest part at the fold) with a galvanized steel “C” channel, 2 ½ inches in width, imbedded 1 ¼ inch into the foam core. This prevents the spa cover from collapsing or bowing under snow loads. 25 gauge steel is standard. 

The lower the “gauge” number the heavier the metal. Note: Consider this option if the cover is 86 inches or longer
